Job Summary Speech Language Pathologist Outpatient (SLP OP) This position is based at a healthcare facility within a healthcare organization. The role involves providing specialized speech and language therapy services in an outpatient setting, emphasizing pediatric and adult dysphagia management and voice rehabilitation. It requires the ability to float to other UCSF facilities as needed.
Job Details
Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: CA Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) license, AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in acute care, pediatric hospital, or rehabilitation environments, including pediatric and adult Modified Barium Swallow Studies, Trach/Vent management, and dysphagia competency.
Schedule: Day shift, 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week.
Required Qualifications: CA SLP license, AHA BLS certification, minimum of 2 years of experience in acute care, children's hospital, or pediatric rehabilitation, with specific experience in Modified Barium Swallow Study (adult and pediatric), Total Laryngectomee, Trach/Vent, Speaking valve, and Dysphagia for pediatric and adult populations.
Preferred Qualifications: Pediatric outpatient clinical experience, clinical experience in an academic medical center, Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology, experience with Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluations of Swallow (FEES), Conducting Modified Barium Swallow Studies, and other specialized assessments.
Additional Information: The role involves interdisciplinary collaboration, patient education, evaluations, and treatment in a hospital outpatient setting, with a focus on pediatric and adult dysphagia, speech, and language disorders.
