Description:
The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) provides evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment services for students with speech, language, voice, fluency, and communication disorders.
The SLP collaborates with educators, families, and related service providers to support students' academic achievement and communication development.
Conduct comprehensive speech-language evaluations and assessments.
Interpret assessment results and prepare written evaluation reports.
Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals and objectives related to speech and language services.
Provide direct and indirect speech-language therapy services in individual and group settings.
Monitor student progress and maintain appropriate documentation of services provided.
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, IEP meetings, and parent conferences.
Collaborate with educational staff to support student needs.
Develop and implement intervention strategies to address communication challenges impacting educational performance.
Provide consultation and training to personnel and families regarding communication disorders and intervention techniques.
Utilize evidence-based practices and instructional methods.
Maintain confidential student records and comply with applicable regulations.
Support compliance with educational requirements.
Perform additional duties as assigned by administration.
Strong knowledge of special education laws and IEP development.
Ability to assess, analyze, and develop individualized treatment plans.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to maintain accurate and confidential documentation.
Ability to provide therapy services in various settings.
Ability to move throughout assigned locations.
Ability to lift, carry, or position instructional and therapy materials as necessary.
