Travel Speech Language Pathologist

Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Travel Speech-Language Pathologist to provide assessment and treatment for patients with speech, language, cognitive, communication, and swallowing disorders. The SLP will develop individualized treatment plans, monitor progress, educate patients and caregivers, and collaborate with the multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing assessments.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
• Provide therapy for speech, language, voice, fluency, cognition, and communication disorders.
• Evaluate and treat patients with swallowing and feeding difficulties.
• Recommend appropriate communication strategies and assistive devices.
• Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapy techniques and home programs.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in the EMR.
• Participate in care planning, patient conferences, and discharge planning.
• Adapt quickly to different clinical environments, patient populations, and facility procedures.
• Follow infection prevention, HIPAA, patient safety, and organizational policies.

Required Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred/required based on assignment.
• Active state SLP license in the state of assignment.
• Current BLS certification preferred/required based on assignment requirements.
• Minimum 1 year of recent clinical SLP experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders.
• Excellent communication, clinical judgment, organization, and adaptability.
• Ability to work independently and effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience with EMR systems preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous travel SLP experience preferred.
• Experience in acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, skilled nursing, outpatient, or home health settings.
• Experience with dysphagia evaluation and treatment.
• Experience with neurological, pediatric, geriatric, or medically complex populations.
• Strong patient and caregiver education skills.
• Ability to quickly adapt to new facilities and clinical workflows.
• Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered rehabilitation.
