Job Title: Speech-Language Pathologist Profession: SLP Specialty: Therapy Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year required License: Valid state license Certifications: BLS (AHA or ARC) required Must-Have: Independent with adult MBS Description: General comments: This role involves data collection and rehabilitation services. The unit has 100 beds and 1 full-time staff member daily, with an additional 4 per diem staff for weekend rotations. The typical hiring profile includes candidates who are flexible, good communicators, and organized. Most recruited skills include performing adult swallow and language assessments, cognitive evaluations, and treatments for both inpatient and outpatient settings. Experience with tracheostomies and speaking valves is preferred. The unit does not have night shift staff and has varying patient ratios. Typical procedures performed include adult swallow and language assessments as well as cognitive evaluations and treatments. Candidates who do not possess the required skills will not be considered for this role. Available weekend calls are expected at least once a month, along with two holidays per year.
