Job Overview We are seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for a 14-week contract assignment in a skilled nursing and rehabilitation setting. The SLP will evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders while supporting overall rehabilitation goals.
This role requires strong clinical skills, compassionate patient care, and collaboration with interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Provide speech therapy and swallowing rehabilitation services
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Educate patients and families on therapy goals and communication strategies
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and therapy records
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and rehabilitation teams
- Ensure compliance with facility standards and patient safety protocols
Requirements
- Active Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) license required
- Master s degree in Speech Language Pathology required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred or required by facility standards
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or required by facility standards
- Skilled nursing or rehabilitation experience preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and clinical reasoning skills
