What We're Looking For


  • Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Current New York state licensure in good standing.
  • New York TSSLD certification required for school employment (candidate must already hold NY license prior to obtaining TSSLD; allow approximately 6–8 weeks to obtain TSSLD after licensure). This is a client requirement.
  • ASHA CCC's preferred.
  • Educator's certificate preferred.

What You'll Do:


  • Provide speech and language therapy in a school-based setting across elementary and middle school populations.
  • Conduct assessments, develop IEPs, and deliver goal-aligned therapy.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school teams.
  • Maintain compliant documentation per district, state, and federal guidelines, including time for reporting and paperwork as part of the daily schedule.


Minimum Requirements


  • Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Current New York state license in good standing. This is required by the client.
  • TSSLD certification required for New York school placements. Candidate must already have NY license before TSSLD application. This is a client requirement.
  • Experience working with school-aged children, including elementary-level IEP service delivery and middle school autism caseloads preferred.
  • Ability to cover both elementary and middle school on the same campus with an approximate split of 40% elementary (IEPs) and 60% middle school (autism caseload). This is client-specific information.
  • Experience with school documentation and reporting. Built-in time for reporting is included in the daily schedule.
  • ASHA CCC's preferred but not required.


Assignment Details


  • Facility Type: School.
  • Location: East Amherst, NY.
  • Shift Name: Days.
  • Work Schedule: 7.5 hours per day.
  • Student Populations: Elementary and Middle School on same campus; split caseload approximately 40% elementary and 60% middle school (autism-focused).
  • Interview Format: Zoom interviews required.
  • Licensure Requirement: Must already hold NY license to be considered.
  • Start/End Dates: Assignment runs from May 8 to June 24.
  • Onboarding Note: Candidate may begin as a substitute with resume submission accepted by the client.
