Key Responsibilities of the Travel Speech Language Pathologist (SLP):
  • Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Provide therapeutic interventions to improve communication and swallowing function
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary care teams
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers on communication strategies and home programs
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with facility policies
  • Ensure a safe, supportive, and patient-centered care environment
Requirements of the Travel Speech Language Pathologist (SLP):
  • Active Maryland Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) license
  • Current BLS certification
  • Minimum of 2 years' recent experience in a clinical, school, or rehabilitation setting
  • Strong communication, assessment, and interpersonal skills
