What We're Looking For


  • Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Current state licensure in good standing in Texas or eligibility to obtain Texas licensure.
  • ASHA CCCs required.
  • Educator's license or eligibility for educator certification in Texas.


Minimum Requirements


  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP).
  • Active Texas SLP license or ability to obtain Texas licensure prior to start.
  • Valid educator certification or eligibility for a Texas educator license.
  • Experience providing school-based speech and language services, including evaluations, IEP development, progress monitoring, and documentation compliant with district, state, and federal guidelines.
  • Ability to work full time in a school district setting; remote or hybrid work not accepted.
  • Willingness to be assigned within the district; many openings concentrated south of Interstate 30. Candidate must be open to district-assigned locations during interview.
  • Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply. (Preferred: bilingual Spanish-English skills.)


Assignment Details


  • Facility type: School.
  • Shift: Days, 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week.
  • Assignment period: School-year assignment (August through May).
  • Position type: Full-time, in-person only.

For regional travel, the Fort Worth Stockyards are about a 30- to 40-minute drive and the Cedar Hill State Park is roughly 25 miles southwest, offering hiking and water recreation. Public transit options include DART light rail and bus service that connect many neighborhoods to downtown and surrounding areas, supporting an urban-suburban commute pattern.


What You'll Do:


  • Provide speech and language therapy services in a school-based setting to students across age ranges served by the district.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments, develop and implement IEPs, and provide individualized and group therapy aligned with student goals.
  • Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, parents, and multidisciplinary school teams to support student progress.
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation and data collection in accordance with district, state, and federal regulations.
  • Participate in IEP meetings, progress reviews, and professional development as required by the district.
