Broward Blvd, Plantation, FL 33324 Floor: 2nd Floor Building: Main Hospital Cost Center: 75901 General Information Tell us about the unit(s): Number of Beds: 250 Number of Staff: Currently 5 in Speech Therapy Type of Staff: SLP s only o Day Shift: 5 o Night Shift: Patient Ratios (Estimated) - Full caseload is approximately 10-12 patients Type of Equipment: MBS/fluoro required Documentation System: Meditech Call Requirements: None Typical Hiring Profile Must have: (includes certifications and special skills, ex: ACLS, BLS, NIH) BLS American Heart Association Florida Speech Language Pathology License (Provisional Licenses not accepted) CCC-SLP List Typical Procedures Performed on Unit(s): Swallow evals (post-extubation, for stroke protocol, pneumonia, failure to thrive, AMS, etc) Speech and Language evals and treatments Dysphagia treatments MBS must be fully proficient and experienced in performing MBS Additional Preferences: (ex: previous travel experience preferred, easily adaptable to fast paced unit, can function well independently) Must be experienced in all above procedures specifically with adult/geriatric population in acute care as we have limited training capabilities at this time.
