Travel Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - $2,200 per week in Northridge, CA

Job Title: Speech Language Pathologist Profession: SLP Specialty: Speech Therapy Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 8 hours Hours per Shift: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, Tuesday to Saturday Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Required Certifications: BLS Certification Certified Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) via ASHA Must-Have: Experience with bedside swallow studies Video swallowing studies experience preferred Description: The role involves working with a variable number of patients based on the assigned area. In the outpatient setting, the therapist may treat up to 9 patients per day. In the inpatient setting, the caseload may include up to 13 patients per day. Experience in rehabilitative care, especially with trauma and neuro patients, is preferred. Candidates must have solid experience managing cognitive impairments and swallowing difficulties. The position may require covering various areas, with the possibility of floating to other departments. Weekends may be required, and holiday shifts are not mandatory. It is important to wear designated uniform attire, including a maroon polo shirt and dark pants. The therapist will work within a team that includes Rehabilitation Aides and other therapists. Experience with electronic medical records systems, particularly Cerner, is beneficial. Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team are essential.
