Job Title: Speech Language Pathologist Profession: Therapy/Rehabilitation Specialty: Inpatient Rehab Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum 1 Year Required License: Valid License Required Certifications: Relevant Certifications Required Description: The Speech Language Pathologist will provide therapy and rehabilitation services to patients. Candidates must have experience with acoustic analysis and adult rehabilitation facilities. Knowledge of alternative communication devices and assessment methods is required. The role includes conducting evaluations and creating individualized plans of care. Experience with chronic illnesses and cognitive performance scales is preferred. Conducting modified barium swallow studies and managing dysphagia is necessary. Strong communication skills and the ability to work within an interdisciplinary team are essential. Candidates should be comfortable with group therapy and documentation requirements. Knowledge of Medicare guidelines and patient care standards is a must. Flexibility to float between different facilities may be required. Willingness to work during major holidays is expected. A background in adult and geriatric patient care is ideal.
