Minimum Requirements

• Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited educational program.
• Completed Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) and current Certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA.
• Active Michigan SLP state license required to start the assignment.
• One (1) year of speech pathology experience in a health setting is required.
• BLS certification may be required from AHA or ARC.
• Must have reliable transportation and telephone access.
• Must have sufficient physical energy and tolerance to meet job demands.
• Knowledge of normal communication processes, development, and disorders to evaluate clients and implement approved treatment techniques.
• Preferred: Additional experience with in-hospital acute care populations or bedside swallowing evaluations.
