Job Overview
We are seeking a qualified Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for a contract assignment in a rehabilitation/skilled nursing setting. The SLP will evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders to improve communication and functional outcomes.
The ideal candidate will provide patient-centered therapy services while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to support rehabilitation goals and improve quality of life for patients.
Key Responsibilities
Evaluate and assess speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders
Develop individualized treatment plans for patients
Provide speech and language therapy interventions
Conduct cognitive-communication and swallowing therapy sessions
Document patient progress and outcomes accurately
Educate patients and caregivers on communication strategies
Collaborate with physicians and rehabilitation teams
Ensure compliance with clinical and facility standards
Requirements
Master s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
Active SLP license in the state of Rhode Island
Rehabilitation or skilled nursing experience preferred
