- Registry personnel must bring a state or federal issued identification to the facility
- Photo badge must be worn at all times while on site
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients for speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders
- Develop and implement individualised treatment plans targeting communication and dysphagia goals
- Conduct modified barium swallow studies or bedside swallowing evaluations as indicated
- Document evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries accurately in the EMR
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team including physicians, dietitians, OTs, and nursing staff
- Provide family and caregiver education on communication strategies and diet modifications
Requirements
Must-Have
- Active state SLP licence North Carolina, current and in good standing
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA current
- CPR/BLS certification current
- Minimum 1 year SLP experience in a post-acute or rehabilitation setting
