Seven Healthcare are seeking a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist for a travel assignment in New York. This role involves working with patients across various settings, such as long-term care facilities, acute care facilities, and outpatient settings, to address communication and swallowing disorders. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will develop individualized treatment plans and provide essential therapy services.

Key Responsibilities of the Speech Language Pathologist- Assess patients' speech or language difficulties using communication and standardized tests.
- Develop and carry out individualized treatment plans as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Assist patients in articulating sounds and improving voice quality.
- Teach alternative communication methods, such as AAC or sign language, to patients with limited speech capability.
- Work with patients to improve reading and writing skills.
- Develop and implement exercises to strengthen the muscles used in swallowing.
- Counsel patients and families on coping mechanisms for communication disorders.
- Maintain accurate records of patient evaluations, diagnoses, treatment progress, and treatment plan changes.
- Complete final evaluations when patients finish therapy.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
Requirements of the Speech Language Pathologist- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- New York State license for Speech-Language Pathology, along with a certificate of clinical competence.
- Limited license required for Clinical Fellowship.
