Job Title: Speech Therapist Profession: Therapy/Rehabilitation Specialty: SLP Pediatrics Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day shift Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience required License: Required Certifications: BLS, CCC-SLP required Must-Have: Pediatric experience with Autism, Birth Defects, Developmental delays, Language Disorders Description: Flexible schedule available with options for 4x10 or 5x8 shifts. Visits per day are typically 9. Patient age groups include infants, pediatrics, and adolescents. Documentation system is Wellsky/Epic. Provider support includes interpretation services, physical therapy, and unit secretary assistance. Patient safety measures must be observed, particularly regarding signs and symptoms of physical, sexual, and psychological abuse. Patient and family education is mandatory. Billing documentation required includes assessment, discharge, evaluation, Medicaid, plan of care, and reassessments. Experience with alternative communication devices, assessment of speech and language disorders, and various evaluations is essential. Floating to other units and/or facilities may be required. Travelers must adhere to scheduling changes and requirements. No weekend shifts required in this position.
