Job Title: Speech Therapist Profession: Therapy/Rehabilitation Specialty: SLP Inpatient Rehab Duration: 8 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (07:00 - 15:30) Experience: 3 years preferred, 2 years considered with strong skillset License: BLS required Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: Preferred experience in TBI and CVA care Description: Locals accepted, please seek assistance for local rate. Speech Therapist position available for 5x8 Days, 40 hours per week. Every third weekend required. First-time travelers considered. BLS certification is required. Floating is not required. On-call is not required. Holidays are required as they fall, as scheduled. Applicants will work with adult and geriatric patient age groups. Patient care will involve various assessments and treatments related to speech and language rehabilitation. Duties will include conducting evaluations and providing therapy for individuals with speech-language disorders. Prior experience with alternative communication devices and modified barium swallow studies is preferred. The role will involve collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care. Skills required include knowledge of dysphagia, cognitive-communication disorders, and augmentative communication. Strong documentation skills are necessary for maintaining accurate patient records. Candidates should be comfortable working with patients with traumatic brain injuries and cerebrovascular accidents. This position requires adaptability and the ability to follow the plan of care for each patient.
