Description:
The Speech Pathologist assists patients in the restoration or development of swallowing, speech, and communication functions through evaluation and treatment.
Our SLPs average 10-14 patients on their caseload per day, but not all are seen.
The average number of visits per day is 6-8 patients.
This position will be 100% inpatient setting in acute care.
The patient population consists of 100% adults, with no pediatric cases.
VFSS is preferred, but not required.
We do not use FEES.
Required qualifications include a master's degree and relevant certifications.
Candidates must have strong analytical abilities to administer and evaluate standardized speech/language tests and conduct swallowing evaluations.
The role also involves evaluating patients' capabilities, developing treatment plans, and monitoring patients' progress.
Previous experience as a Speech Pathologist is preferred.
