Job Title: Speech Therapist Profession: Therapy/Rehabilitation Specialty: SLP Inpatient Rehab Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 5x8 Hours per Shift: 07:00 - 15:30 Experience: Minimum 2 years preferred, with strong experience/skill set in TBI and CVA care. License: Active state license required. Certifications: BLS required. Must-Have: Experience in acute care and adult rehabilitation facilities. Description: Speech Therapist position available in inpatient rehab. Work is scheduled for 40 hours weekly. Weekend shifts required every third weekend. Holidays may be required as they fall as scheduled. Candidates should have experience working with TBI and CVA patients. Strong experience in alternative communication devices and assessments is preferred. Experience in conducting modified barium swallow studies is essential. Knowledge of dysphagia and speech therapy techniques required. Position requires ability to provide patient and family education. Candidates must work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams. Comfort with documentation and coding for therapy services is necessary. Experience in skilled nursing facilities is a plus. Floating may be required within scope of practice. Candidates who have worked previously as staff within this system must be gone for 12 months before returning as a traveler.
