A valid, unrestricted license in therapy discipline. Meets educational requirements of licensure. Valid driver's license. Description: Speech therapists develop treatment plans to improve swallowing, cognitive and communication abilities, and to decrease aspirations. Communication treatment plans may include techniques that not only help the individual to be better understood but also to help them better understand others. Leads, guides, and directs the delivery of speech-language pathology services in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations, standards, and established facility policies and procedures. The goal is to provide appropriate care and services to residents.
