This School Psychologist role is based in Gurnee, Illinois, a vibrant northern suburb in Lake County known for its welcoming neighborhoods, strong schools, and convenient access to both Chicago and Milwaukee. In this position, you will work on a collaborative, student-centered team to support the academic, social, emotional, and behavioral success of K–12 students. Your typical day may include conducting psychoeducational assessments, participating in IEP and 504 meetings, consulting with teachers on classroom strategies, providing short-term counseling or skill-building groups, and contributing to school-wide initiatives such as social-emotional learning and MTSS. You will collaborate closely with educators, administrators, school social workers, counselors, and nurses to develop comprehensive support plans tailored to individual student needs. Responsibilities include administering and interpreting standardized assessments, collecting and analyzing data, writing clear and actionable evaluation reports, and helping determine eligibility for special education and related services. You will play a key role in behavior intervention planning, crisis response, and implementation of evidence-based interventions. The schedule follows the traditional school calendar, offering predictable weekday hours and the stability of a school-year rhythm. Gurnee’s location is a major advantage. Psychologist, School
Experience: New Grad Accepted
Licenses: PSY-IL Master’s or Doctoral Degree in School Psychology
State Certification and / or Licensure as a School Psychologist
Experience working in a School Setting
Professional Education Licensure (PEL) with School Support Personnel Endorsements

Preferred Qualifications
Strong Knowledge of Child Development, Learning Theories, and Behavioral Interventions
Excellent Communication, Interpersonal, and Organizational skills
Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of educators, parents, and community members
Proficiency in assessment tools and techniques used in school and educational settings
