Job Overview
We are seeking a qualified Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for a contract assignment in a rehabilitation/skilled nursing setting. The SLP will evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders to improve communication and functional outcomes.
The ideal candidate will deliver patient-centered therapy while collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support rehabilitation goals.
Key Responsibilities
Evaluate and assess speech, language, and swallowing disorders
Develop individualized treatment plans for patients
Provide speech and language therapy interventions
Conduct cognitive and communication rehabilitation sessions
Document patient progress and therapy outcomes
Educate patients and caregivers on communication strategies
Collaborate with physicians and rehabilitation teams
Ensure compliance with facility and clinical standards
Requirements
Master s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
Active SLP license in the state of West Virginia
Rehabilitation or skilled nursing experience preferred
