Travel Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - $2,632 per week in Harlingen, TX

Shift: 08:00am-0 5:00pm Description: The Speech Language Pathologist serves as a recognized subject matter expert on matters related to speech, language, and swallowing disorders. This role is responsible for therapeutic rehabilitation services for individuals with speech communication deficits, swallowing challenges, social and pragmatic delays, and cognitive difficulties. The SLP will assess, diagnose, and analyze skills and abilities in the areas of speech, language, and cognitive communication. Quality documentation in the electronic health record is required to identify and assess all applicable impairments. This position involves developing, implementing, and overseeing therapeutic habilitative and rehabilitative programs. The SLP will provide clinical services and collaborate with other departments and allied health professionals to maximize therapeutic efficacy. Attendance at assigned meetings will ensure the transfer of needed information and continuity of services. This selected individual will train, instruct, and/or supervise others in conducting habilitation and rehabilitation activities. Monitoring implemented programs for compliance and efficacy is essential to ensure quality of care and patient well-being. Feedback will be provided to staff, and updates to programs and treatment protocols will be made based on outcomes. This position will oversee and coordinate quality assurance and enhancement activities related to therapeutic services. Participation in disaster response and continuity of operations may be required, which may involve alternate shift patterns and/or locations.
