Job Title: Speech Pathologist Profession: Speech Pathologist Specialty: Speech Pathologist Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 8 hours, 5 days/week, includes 2-4 weekends per month Experience: Minimum of Master's Degree or foreign equivalent required Two years of speech language pathology experience preferred License: Speech Pathologist licensure in the state of practice required Certifications: Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred Must-Have: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) required Description: Provides diagnostic, therapeutic, and consultative services to patients with communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders. Adheres to state and federal regulatory license, certification, and accrediting requirement guidelines. Serves as an integral member of the interdisciplinary care team. Reviews patient information before evaluations and during the course of treatment. Conducts and documents comprehensive patient assessments. Assists in data collection of patient outcomes. Instructs and directs support staff, as outlined in national and state Practice Acts. Supervises assistants and support staff. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
