Travel Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - $3,000 to $3,100 per week in Boston, MA

We are seeking an experienced Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for a 26-week travel assignment at a nationally recognized Level I Trauma Center and Joint Commission Comprehensive Stroke Center in Boston, MA.

This position is ideal for an SLP with extensive acute inpatient hospital experience who is comfortable treating medically complex patients, including those with tracheostomies, ventilator dependence, and swallowing disorders. The hospital receives multiple medical flight transfers daily, requiring clinicians with advanced clinical skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced acute care environment.

• Evaluate and treat adult acute care patients with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders.
• Perform comprehensive bedside swallowing evaluations.
• Conduct and interpret Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBS) and/or Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES).
• Treat patients with acute tracheostomies and ventilator dependence.
• Develop individualized treatment plans and discharge recommendations.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Document evaluations, treatments, and patient progress accurately in EPIC.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and professional standards.

• Strong background treating medically complex adult patients.
• Experience working in stroke centers or tertiary care hospitals.

• Acute inpatient hospital experience is required. Inpatient rehabilitation experience alone will not be considered.
• Candidates must have been separated from Beth Israel Lahey Health (permanent, per diem, or contract employment) for at least six months to be eligible.
• Local candidates are not eligible for this assignment.

• Guaranteed 72 hours biweekly
