Certifications / Licence:
- Must have a valid Speech Language Pathologist license in the state(s) of practice, or proof of license eligibility.
- Must possess or be eligible for a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) or be eligible to participate as an ASHA Clinical Fellow.
- Must have a valid driver’s license or reliable, independent transportation to and from the patients’ residence.
- Mandatory Experience:
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Coordinates the acquisition of adaptive communication devices and instructs patients in their use.
- Facilitates identification of hearing deficits and appropriately refers for assessment, diagnosis rehabilitation and/or personal amplification.
- Selects appropriate activities suited to the individual’s physical and mental capacity, intelligence level and interest.
- Instructs patients in the skills and techniques required for participation in therapeutic activities, and evaluates patient progress, attitudes and behavior as related to rehabilitative potential.
- Performs routine reexamination as needed/required to modify/progress plan of treatment.
- Coordinates care in the home and community with other members of the interdisciplinary team in collaboration with the referring physician.
- Performs other related duties as required.

- Demonstrated ability to recognize operational gaps and develop appropriate interventions
- Ability to effectively prioritize work and meet deadlines in a fast -paced environment
- Ability to foster effective working relationships and build consensus
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects and resources (people, costs, time)
- Demonstrated ability to mediate and resolve simple problems and issues
- Demonstrated ability to provide leadership to team and influence others
- Demonstrated ability to supervise, coach, mentor, train, and evaluate work results
- Knowledge of computer systems and software used in functional area
- Knowledge of Medical Terminology
- Knowledge of principles and practices of organization, administration, and personnel management
- Knowledge of principles, methods, equipment, and theory of the practice of clinical specialty
