    Key Responsibilities
    • Perform evaluations and therapeutic procedures for communication disorders and dysphagia, including modified barium swallow studies, under physician or accepted healthcare provider orders
    • Establish and monitor individualized plans of care with functional short- and long-term goals, modifying treatment programs as clinically indicated
    • Collaborate with residents, primary caregivers, referring physicians, and interdisciplinary team members regarding therapeutic and discharge needs; attend pertinent team meetings
    • Recommend and facilitate appropriate communication and swallowing assistive devices, ensuring resident and caregiver education is provided and documented
    • Maintain thorough and accessible documentation of all evaluative and therapeutic interactions per department procedures
    • Provide in-services to nursing and other departments; actively contribute to the development of new Speech Therapy programs and services
    Required Qualifications
    • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology required
    • Active Speech-Language Pathologist license required
    • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required
    • Understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, and other reimbursement regulations
    • Strong verbal, written, and documentation skills with the ability to communicate clearly in English

    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred
    • Prior experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility setting preferred
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
    • Experience working collaboratively within an interdisciplinary healthcare team
