    Key Responsibilities
    • Screen, evaluate, and rehabilitate patients with communication, cognitive, or swallowing disorders; develop appropriate plans of care following all regulatory and clinical practice standards
    • Utilize standardized assessments and evidence-based practice to support clinical interventions and evaluate treatment outcomes, modifying services and making referrals as appropriate
    • Assess and document patient progress, treatment minutes, and comprehensive discharge summaries in the electronic documentation system per regulatory and clinical requirements
    • Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers related to speech disorders; communicate effectively with supervisors and interdisciplinary team members
    • Participate in required meetings including patient care conferences, utilization review, and rehabilitation meetings, as well as required trainings and in-services
    • Supervise and support Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) or student Speech-Language Pathologists; adhere to ASHA and state-required practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics
    Required Qualifications
    • Minimum 1 year of SLP experience required; new graduates considered with Level II clinical experience (Level I observation experience alone does not qualify)
    • Long Term Care (LTC) or Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) experience required
    • Active Missouri State SLP License required
    • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA required
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • 3 or more years of experience holding an active CCC-SLP certification
    • Familiarity with group therapy models in a long term care or skilled nursing setting
    • Experience with electronic documentation systems in a therapy setting
