Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and assess patients' speech, language, voice, and swallowing needs
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans
  • Provide direct therapy to improve communication and swallowing functions
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and therapy teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes
  • Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with regulations
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapy goals and progress
  • Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and discharge planning
Requirements
  • Active West Virginia Speech Language Pathologist license (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
  • Strong assessment, communication, and treatment planning skills
  • Previous clinical or rehabilitation experience preferred
