Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat patients with speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders in a skilled nursing facility setting
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments and clinical findings
- Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as clinically indicated
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to coordinate patient care and discharge planning
- Educate patients and their families on therapeutic techniques and home exercise programs
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current and valid Speech-Language Pathologist licensure in the state of Massachusetts
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA
- Experience working in a skilled nursing facility (SNF) setting
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience with geriatric patient populations
- Familiarity with MDS documentation and Medicare/Medicaid billing requirements in a SNF environment
