Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders in a skilled nursing facility setting
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient evaluations and clinical goals
• Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as clinically appropriate
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate comprehensive patient care
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapeutic strategies and home programs

Required Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Current and valid Rhode Island SLP license or eligibility to obtain one
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA, or Clinical Fellowship eligibility
• Experience working in a skilled nursing or long-term care environment preferred

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a skilled nursing facility (SNF) setting
• Proficiency with dysphagia evaluation and treatment, including modified barium swallow studies or FEES
• Familiarity with MDS documentation and Medicare/Medicaid billing requirements
