Key Responsibilities

• Provide speech-language pathology services within an acute care hospital setting
• Evaluate and treat patients with communication, swallowing, and related disorders
• Document patient progress and maintain accurate clinical records using electronic health record systems
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• May be reassigned to different departments or units as needed based on staffing requirements and qualifications

Required Qualifications

• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Speech Language Pathologist
• Minimum of 1 year of hospital-based experience
• Acute care experience required
• Teaching hospital experience required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a children's hospital setting
• Pediatric outpatient experience
• Pediatric rehabilitation facility experience
• Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) experience
