    Key Responsibilities
    • Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans and goals in collaboration with physician direction, targeting progression toward discharge within an established length of stay.
    • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to address all barriers to discharge, including equipment trialing and ordering, patient and family training, home exercise program issuance, and planning for continuing services.
    • Manage individual, concurrent, and group treatment sessions effectively, demonstrating flexibility in caseload management and ensuring continuity of the plan of care throughout the length of stay.
    • Complete accurate and timely medical record documentation including daily notes, goal writing, functional quality indicator assessments, letters of medical necessity, discharge documentation, and charge entry in compliance with state, federal, and intermediary guidelines.
    • Participate in student programs as assigned, providing supervision, developing learning objectives, and completing student evaluations.
    • Adhere to the discipline-specific State Practice Act and all applicable regulatory requirements, maintaining professional licensure in good standing and fulfilling all continuing education requirements.
    Required Qualifications
    • Active and unrestricted Speech Language Pathologist licensure in the state of Tennessee.
    • Demonstrated competency in performing comprehensive patient evaluations and developing evidence-based treatment plans.
    • Knowledge of and adherence to discipline-specific professional codes of conduct and ethical standards.
    • Ability to complete medical record documentation in a clear, concise, and timely manner in compliance with applicable guidelines and policies.
    • Commitment to patient and employee safety practices, including safe patient handling and infection control protocols.
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience working in an inpatient or acute rehabilitation setting.
    • Experience supervising or mentoring students in a clinical environment.
    • Active involvement in professional development activities, continuing education, and professional organizations.
