Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 5x8-Hour Shifts (8:00–16:30) | Monday–Friday with approximately one Saturday per month | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide speech-language pathology services across acute care, pediatric, and rehabilitation settings, with the ability to float to other affiliated facilities as needed
• Perform and interpret Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBSS) for both adult and pediatric populations
• Manage patients with complex needs including Total Laryngectomy, Tracheostomy/Ventilator dependence, and Speaking Valve use
• Demonstrate competency in dysphagia evaluation and treatment for pediatric and adult patients
• Collaborate within an interdisciplinary team in a teaching hospital environment, including PICU and pediatric rehabilitation settings

Required Qualifications

• Active California Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) License — must be in hand at time of submittal
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience
• Experience in Acute Care, Children's Hospital, Pediatric Rehabilitation, and/or PICU settings
• Teaching hospital experience required
• All prior employment with any University of California medical facility or affiliated/acquired facilities must be disclosed with dates, units, and supervisor names for rehire eligibility review
• 2 professional references from most recent employer required at time of submittal
• Local candidates are welcome and are subject to the same terms as travel candidates

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Pediatric outpatient clinical experience
• Clinical experience in an academic medical center
• Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology
