Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve swallowing, cognitive, and communication abilities
- Work to decrease aspiration risks in a long-term care resident population
- Apply communication treatment techniques to help residents both express themselves and better understand others
- Lead, guide, and direct the delivery of speech language pathology and audiology services within the facility
- Ensure all services are provided in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations, standards, and established facility policies and procedures
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of Speech Language Pathology experience
- Active Texas State SLP License (required at time of submission)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility setting
- Familiarity with short-term rehabilitation programs within a nursing facility environment
