    Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) – Long Term Care

    Key Responsibilities
    • Screen, evaluate, and rehabilitate patients with communication, cognitive, or swallowing disorders and develop appropriate plans of care following all regulatory and clinical practice standards.
    • Utilize standardized assessments and evidence-based practice to support clinical interventions and adjust treatments based on patient progress.
    • Evaluate treatment outcomes for effectiveness and make referrals or modify services accordingly; provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers.
    • Accurately document all regulatory and clinically required information in the electronic documentation system, including treatment minutes and comprehensive discharge summaries.
    • Participate in required meetings including patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, and rehabilitation meetings, as well as facility and company required trainings and in-services.
    • Supervise and support Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) or student Speech-Language Pathologists as needed; adhere to ASHA and state-required practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics.
    Required Qualifications
    • Minimum of 1 year of SLP experience required; new graduates with completed Level II clinical experience will be considered.
    • Long-term care (LTC) or rehabilitation setting experience required.
    • Active Massachusetts State SLP License required.
    • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA required.
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience working with Medicare A, Medicare B, and managed care patient populations.
    • Familiarity with electronic documentation systems used in long-term care or rehabilitation environments.
