PCU Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated PCU Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in step-down care and be prepared to deliver high-quality healthcare to patients in a critical care environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage patients in the step-down unit, ensuring their comfort and safety.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Ensure accurate documentation of patient care and observations.
• Provide education and support to patients and families regarding health conditions and treatment plans.

Shift Details

This position requires working night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification is required.
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification can be obtained within the first three weeks of employment.
• Preferred candidates will have at least two years of nursing experience, with a focus in step-down or PCU level care.
• Permanent address must be located more than 50 miles from the facility.

Attire

Royal blue scrubs are required for this position.

Patient Care Ratio

The typical nurse-to-patient ratio is 5:1.
