Description

American Traveler is hiring a Stepdown RN for a 13-week travel assignment requiring a Missouri or compact RN license and at least 1 year of stepdown experience.

Details

• Works in the Cardiac Stepdown Unit (PCU Cardiac Med Intermediate)
• Cares for a neuro medical-surgical patient population
• Day shift, 3x12, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Rotating weekends every other week
• Floating as needed
• Uses EPIC EMR

Requirements

• Active RN license (Missouri or compact eligible)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Minimum 1 year of recent stepdown experience required
• Current RN license required as minimum education
• Flu vaccination required for all travelers from November 1 to April 1 with no declinations or exceptions accepted
• Valid U.S. Social Security Number required; Canadian SINs not accepted
• No gaps in employment of 90+ days within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide and coordinate patient care across departments
• Maintains professional accountability and evaluates care provided by other caregivers
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality in accordance with facility standards
• Black scrubs required; no other attire accepted
• Team players with strong communication and flexibility are preferred
• Accepts local candidates, though bill rate is reduced for those within 50 miles of the facility
• Local candidates within 50 miles are limited to 3 consecutive 13-week contracts before requiring a 1-year break or reassignment outside the radius
• Up to 5 days of requested time off allowed, must be made up during the assignment
