Description

American Traveler is hiring a Stepdown/Intermediate Care RN for a night shift position requiring MI licensure and 2 years of experience.

Details

• 22-bed Stepdown/Intermediate Care unit
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Cares for cardiac telemetry, neuro stepdown, and MS/tele patients
• 3x12 night shift schedule (1900-0730)
• Works every other weekend and every other holiday
• No on-call requirements
• Uses Cerner PowerChart for charting
• Must be willing to float based on facility census and staffing needs

Requirements

• Active MI RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• CPI certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of stepdown/intermediate care experience required
• Cerner charting experience preferred

Additional Information

• Provides care for patients requiring cardiac monitoring, respiratory support, and neuro/psych conditions
• Skills in IV therapy, central/peripheral line care, and cardiac drip management preferred
• Experience with post-cardiac cath, sheath removal, and TAVR care preferred
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• First-time travelers will be considered
• Maximum of 10 days RTO permitted
• Holiday RTO requests require willingness to work one of the three major holidays
• Former employees must be separated from the facility for at least 3 years before returning as a traveler
• Required to adhere to facility's professional conduct standards
