Description

American Traveler is hiring a Stepdown RN for a night shift telemetry/PCU position requiring a MO or compact RN license and at least 1 year of relevant experience.

Details

• Work in the Stepdown unit (PCU/DOU/IMC/Telemetry) of a hospital environment
• Cares for cardiac telemetry, neuro stepdown, and renal/genitourinary patient populations
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Performs cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and rapid response coordination
• Utilizes Epic charting system
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (1900-0700)

Requirements

• Active RN license (Missouri or Compact) required, pending license accepted if active and in-hand prior to start
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 1 year of relevant nursing experience required
• BSN preferred
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Skilled in IV therapy, central/peripheral line care, and PICC line management
• Experience with respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP, chest tubes, and oxygen administration
• Skilled in wound care and isolation precautions/PPE

Additional Information

• Provides direct patient care in a Level II Trauma and Level II Stroke Center
• Manages cardiac and vasoactive drips (titration preferred), PCA, and procedural sedation monitoring
• Free onsite parking available
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rate; local candidates accepted at a reduced rate
• Previous employees must be separated from the facility for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Previous travel experience preferred but first-time travelers may be considered
