This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:30) and Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30) rotating shifts available. Shifts may be variable to meet operational needs.

Job Description

The Stepdown Unit at a leading healthcare facility is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide exceptional patient care. This role will involve patient management in a stepdown setting, with potential to float to adjacent units as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to stepdown patients.
  • Monitor and assess patient conditions, intervening as necessary.
  • Administer medications and perform medical procedures as prescribed.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate and timely patient records according to facility protocols.
  • Participate in training and orientation of new staff members.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

  • 18 months combined permanent experience in a stepdown unit, preferably within one location.
  • Active Ohio license or compact state license required at the time of submission.
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
  • Travel experience within an acute care setting is highly preferred.
  • Must work at least every other holiday.
