Join a leading acute-care hospital as a Step Down Registered Nurse in Cleveland, OH. This position is part of the Progressive Care Unit (PCU)/Step Down team, where you will provide essential care to patients transitioning from higher levels of care. The role requires a dedicated professional with a strong background in nursing and a commitment to patient-centered care.

As a Step Down RN, you will be expected to float to units J1-2, J33, and the ED to care for the same patient population. The facility will do its best to honor your preferred shift but reserves the right to rotate you if necessary to meet operational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Step Down unit.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as needed.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Educate patients and their families on care plans and health management.

Requirements:

• Must have 12 months of permanent experience in the specialty applying for.
• Must hold a permanent Ohio license or a compact state license in hand.
• AHA or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certification required.
• Travelers must work at least every other holiday.
• ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment will be completed during orientation, with an acceptable score on both assessments required.
