Description

American Traveler is hiring a Stepdown RN for a hospital setting requiring an OH or compact RN license and at least 1 year of specialty experience.

Details

• Work in the Step down unit within a hospital environment
• Potential to float to units J1-2, J33 and the ED to care for the same patient population
• Day shift (7:00 AM-7:30 PM) and night shift (7:00 PM-7:30 AM) on a 3x12 rotating schedule
• Shifts may be adjusted to meet operational needs of the hospital, though preferred shift will be honored when possible

Requirements

• Active OH RN license or compact license in hand required
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required (AHA or American Red Cross)
• Minimum of 1 year combined permanent experience in the specialty required
• One professional reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty is required
• Co-worker references are not accepted

Additional Information

• Care for stepdown/telemetry patients with potential to float to related units and the ED
• Required to work at least every other holiday
• ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments completed during orientation, with an acceptable score required (maximum 2 attempts)
• COVID-19 and flu vaccines required, with medical/religious exemptions only
• Local candidates accepted
• Previous permanent or per diem employees must wait 1 year from their last end date before returning
• Candidates with an open background check case will not be accepted
• Candidates with any professional license hits will not be accepted
