Description

American Traveler is hiring a Stepdown RN for a hospital float pool position requiring OH or compact RN license and at least 1 year of recent stepdown experience.

Details

• Work in the HVTI-Stepdown float pool at a hospital main campus
• May float to units J1-2, J33, and the Emergency Department to care for the same patient population
• Rotating day/night shift schedule: 7:00am-7:30pm or 7:00pm-7:30am, 3x12-hour shifts
• Shifts may be adjusted to meet operational needs of the hospital
• Every other holiday coverage required

Requirements

• Active RN license, Ohio or compact state, in hand
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of combined permanent experience in stepdown nursing required
• One professional reference required from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty, dated within the past 12 months
• Must pass ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation

Additional Information

• Care for stepdown-level patients requiring close monitoring
• Provide nursing care across multiple units within the same patient population when floating
• COVID-19 and flu vaccinations required, with medical or religious exemptions only
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
• Permanent or per diem candidates cannot return to this health system for 1 year from their previous end date
• Assignments capped at 18 consecutive months, followed by a required minimum 6-month break before returning
