Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Stepdown position requiring 18 months of recent stepdown experience and an active OH or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in the HVTI-Stepdown unit of a hospital environment
• Potential to float to units J1-2, J33 and the ED to care for the same patient population
• Day/Night rotating shifts (3x12 Hours), 7:00am-7:30pm or 7:00pm-7:30am
• Shifts may vary based on operational needs of the hospital
• Required to work at least every other holiday
• No on-call responsibilities

Requirements

• Active RN license (Ohio or Compact) currently in hand
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• 18 months of combined permanent experience in Stepdown specialty required
• 18 months of recent Stepdown experience required (travel experience accepted)
• PCU/Progressive care experience preferred but not required
• Must complete ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment during orientation with an acceptable score
• One professional reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the applicable specialty required, from an assignment worked within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care within the Stepdown unit, with potential floating to related units and the ED
• Assignment length of 20 weeks to provide winter coverage, with 13-week assignments also considered
• Holiday coverage required for at least every other holiday
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
• Nurses are exempt from the facility's nicotine-free requirement
• Permanent and per diem candidates cannot return to this health system for 1 year from their previous end date
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply as travel experience is not required
