Job Summary: The specialty healthcare organization is seeking a Step Down Unit Registered Nurse for an assignment at a facility located in Portland, Oregon. The role involves caring for higher-acuity patients, including those requiring tracheostomy and ventilator management, as well as complex cardiac and respiratory care. The position requires flexibility to float between units and facilities as needed, with a focus on patients transitioning from critical care to intermediate care levels.

Location: Portland, Oregon
Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, starting on 08/31/2026
Required Qualifications: 2 years of experience, ACLS, BLS, NIHSS certifications, experience with blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, central line care/management, interpretation of dysrhythmias, management of cardiac drips (without titration), peripheral line care/management, insulin drip titration, tracheostomy care/management, EPIC charting system experience, valid license
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in Intermediate Care/Step-Down units involving complex cardiac and respiratory patients
Additional Information: Must have a vehicle for this assignment. Floating to other units and facilities may be required based on skill set. Candidate must be willing to work three out of five designated holidays. Valid references covering the last three years are required. The candidate should respond to screening questions regarding prior employment at a related facility. No call-in policies apply. Modules are non-billable and must be completed during orientation and annually, with about 16 hours estimated for completion.
