Job Summary: Step Down Unit Registered Nurse (RN) located in the region. The role involves providing safe, competent, quality patient care based on nursing theory and research to a designated group of patients and significant others. The nurse will collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team, prioritize patient needs, and utilize evidence-based practices to ensure optimal patient outcomes during night shifts.
Job Details:
Schedule: Night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with a minimum of 34.5 hours per week.
Required Qualifications: Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; associate degree in nursing considered with relevant experience and/or active enrollment in a BSN program. Valid NYS RN license and BLS certification. At least 2 years of cardiology, telemetry, or ventricular assist device (VAD) experience. Minimum of 2 years of RN experience; travel experience for travel positions is not required for per diem roles. EPIC experience highly preferred.
Additional Information: The position requires performs charge nurse duties as assigned, coordinate supply and staffing needs, facilitate patient throughput, and support clinical colleagues, patients, and families. The role emphasizes clinical competence advancement, professional development, ethical decision-making, and participating in unit initiatives.
