Job Summary
Step Down Unit Registered Nurse (RN) Night Shift with at least 1 year of experience in cardiac telemetry and stepdown care. This position requires managing and titrating cardiac drips and vasoactive medications with a focus on cardiac patient care. The role involves floating between units as needed within a short-term acute care facility designated as a Level II Trauma Center, serving adult and geriatric patients, with a scheduled start date of 10/19/2026 and ending on 01/18/2027.

Job Details

• Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week scheduled from 10/19/2026 to 01/18/2027.
• Required Qualifications: Valid state license (compact license accepted), at least 1 year of relevant experience in stepdown or cardiac telemetry nursing, certification in ACLS and BLS, experience with telemetry, blood product administration, management of cardiac and vasoactive drips, and proficiency in Epic charting system.
• Preferred Qualifications: Previous charge nurse experience, additional certifications such as NIHSS, and experience in a Level II trauma or pediatric trauma setting.
• Float: Float rotation may be required; travelers are first to float to Telemetry or Medical-Surgical floors if overstaffed.
• Additional Information: The role involves managing and titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips with a hardstop requirement, using cardiac monitoring equipment, and providing care for adult and geriatric populations with complex cardiac diagnoses. Candidates must be flexible to work 3 of the 5 major holidays and follow specified scheduling requests during submittal.
