Neonatal Pediatric Nurse Omaha, Nebraska. This position involves providing specialized care for neonatal and pediatric patients within a fast-paced unit. The role requires strong clinical skills, effective communication, and the ability to adapt to a dynamic healthcare environment.
Job Details:
- Shift: Nights, 12 hours per shift
- Schedule: 0630-1900, 1830-0700, minimum 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid license to submit; Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association; NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS); minimum of 2 years of nursing experience
- Specialty: Step Down Unit
- Facility Notes: The unit is fast-paced and requires critical thinking, good communication skills, and a positive attitude. Candidate must adhere to the facility's nail policy, and pass a skills exam during orientation with a minimum score of 90%.
- Experience Requirements: 0 years minimum experience required
- Additional Information:
- Bed capacity: 35 beds
- Patient population: Adults and geriatrics, with diagnoses including cardiac, nephrology, strokes, and diabetes, with continuous EEG monitoring
- Nurse staffing ratios: 1:4-5; duties include titrating drips such as Cardizem, betablockers, and seizure medications
- Charge nurse responsibilities and staffing details are outlined, with float requirements to medical floors, ICU, or rehab
- RTO (Return to Office) needed upfront for a 13-week contract; no additional RTO approvals after submission
- Entry date: 11/20/2023
- Covid-19 vaccination status or additional administrative notes are not included
