Job Summary:
Step Down Unit Registered Nurse (RN) position available in Omaha, Nebraska. The role involves providing specialized care to adult patients in a high-acuity, acute care setting. The RN will be responsible for managing patient conditions, titrating drips such as insulin and Cardizem, and working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team during 12-hour night shifts starting August 17, 2026.

Job Details:

  • Location: Omaha, Nebraska
  • Shift Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 36 hours per week, starting on 08/17/2026
  • Required Qualifications: Licensure to submit valid in Nebraska; minimum of 2 years of experience, including charge nurse experience; current BLS (American Heart Association) and ACLS certifications; valid drivers license, valid for outside radius of 50 miles; strong PCU and telemetry experience preferred but not required; experience with titrating insulin and Cardizem drips is preferred.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Oncology certification (preferred, not required); experience with EMR systems (Epic), Alaris IV pumps, and high-flow respiratory equipment such as high-flow oxygen therapy, BiPAP, or ventilators.
  • Additional Information: Orientation includes two days of unit-specific training; float to other medical/surgical and PCU units may be required; support staff includes nursing assistants, charge nurses, PT, OT, case managers, social workers, educators, and dietitians. Hourly rounding and bedside shift reports are emphasized to enhance patient experience. The team values nurses who demonstrate genuine care, positive attitude, and emphasis on teamwork.
